Thank you for considering our venue for your function

the following information should answer in questions you have about our establishment.

Room Hire and Decorations-

Ryan’s Cocktail Bar is free to hire! All we require is a $100 (non-refundable) deposit at the time of your booking. 21 st birthdays will also incur a $160 security guard charge and a $500 cash bond which will be refunded the following day, providing no damage has been done to the venue. -We do not hire out the room for 18 th birthday parties- Guests are free to decorate as desired but please no confetti! Speak to the functions manager about table cloths and room set up. Please be aware the Cocktail Bar is always open to the public as it services the restaurant, we can supply you with wrist bands free of charge.

Entertainment and Photo Slide Show-

A small acoustic band, D.J or solo artist are permitted, alternately we can plug your phone/ipod/computer into our in house speaker system. We are happy to recommend musicians for your function if need be, just ask! A dvd player is available to play your photos on the cocktail bar tv. If you choose to use it, please come into the hotel BEFORE your event to check the dvd you have and our player are compatible.


Ryan’s Cocktail Bar is open to the public Wednesday- Sunday from 5:30pm.

Functions can be booked outside this time but may incur a fee for staff. If you have any further questions, contact the hotel directly and speak with our functions manager.

Capacity and Minors-

The cocktail bar and balcony has the capacity to hold up to140 people. Minors must be off the premises at 9pm as per the hotels house policy.

Bar Tab and Food Options-

Bar tabs can be customised to suit every function. There are twenty three varieties of beer, four ciders, and forty two wines currently available in the cocktail bar. How much you choose to spend and on which product is up to you! We also have a selection of spirits and cocktails available, if you would like something specific for your event speak to our functions manager. Canapés, platters, pizzas and grazing platters are all available to purchase. As with the bar tab how much you choose to spend and what you spend it on is up to you, our functions manager will help you choose the correct amount of food for your function/budget. Please note, due to licensing restrictions outside food cannot be bought into the hotel aside from a cake, which must be store bought. Functions are not charged cakeage.
